Bio

George Hall, a virtuoso guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, has devoted his life to the art of music. Hailing from the South of England, his journey commenced at the age of twelve, ignited by the captivating sounds of ‘Jimi Hendrix’s Greatest Hits.’ The opening notes of ‘Voodoo Child’ laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for music.
Fuelled by an unwavering commitment, George embarked on formal musical education at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and the Institute of Music in London. These institutions cultivated his theoretical acumen and performance.

George’s musical ventures have been diverse. From recording original compositions to captivating audiences on cruise ships, touring theatres and performing with his trio. The culmination of his journey resulted in the birth of ‘The George Hall Trio’ in 2018, an embodiment of his influences ranging from Hendrix and Clapton to soul legends like Bill Withers and The Meters. The trio has carved a unique niche by infusing scorching blues rock, funk, and soul into their performances.

Beyond his stage performances, George is deeply committed to sharing his passion for music with others. He achieves this through ‘String Theory Guitar Tuition,’ a teaching medium he established in 2016. Through this platform, he imparts his years of rich knowledge and experience, helping fellow guitarists discover and nurture their unique musical voices.
